- Super C Last week Thursday, the Ensemble took a trip to the Norwegian Settlers Church to sing for the benefit of others. The Voices for Hospice Choir Evening is a function held to raise money for South Coast Hospice. It brings together choirs of all ages to sing and give back to the community.
- Mystic Raven On Thursday, the 18 th of July, a TADA talk was held at second
break in the Multimedia Centre. This talk was well attended by many pupils. The speaker was Gisella Shaer and she told a heart- wrenching tale of parents who are drug addicts and teenage mothers who suffer from post-natal pregnancy. She captured the audience and I’m very sorry for those of you who missed it. - Super C The 2016 PSHS Ensemble Concert, held last week Friday, saw a large crowd turn up to celebrate the gift of an evening of music. The Ensemble showcased their repertoire of songs - from an acapella rendition of Middle by DJ Snake to an upbeat performance of a traditional song, Zulu Mama. The ensemble also dedicated Baba Yetu (The Lord's Prayer in Swahili) to the du Plessis family.
On the Friday, 29 of July, the audience at Suid-Natal High Schol was awed by the talented youth of KZN. Four choirs: Suid-Natal Primere, Creston College, Port Shepstone High School and the KZN Youth Choir sang their hearts out at the concert. The performances were spectacular ranging from innocent voices of children to the majestic voices of the youth choir. Their golden voices sang lyrics from golden oldies, international classics, children’s songs and traditional songs. Our ensemble and gave a great performance of traditional Afrikaans and African songs. The KZN Youth Choir invited all to audition this September. More information can be found on their website www.kznyouthchoir.co.za . Overall the night was a magical success complete with goosebumps and hysterical laughs.
