-Tauriel It’s that very first dreaded time of the year again where the junior grades take on block tests. We all go through that stage in this school and it can become stressful at times. There are students who experience pressure from family and friends to obtain or maintain one of the top ten positions and it all piles on to the twelve subjects written over a period of two weeks. Then there are freelancers (like me) who don’t really pay attention to positioning in the grade but at the end of term, the words ‘READY TO PROGRESS’ appear at the bottom of the report and that’s all it takes to make them happy.
Block tests are the very first stepping stones for grade 8’s at Sheppie, it’s a time when friends will sit together in the grade 8 area and quiz each other on the content that might appear on the paper and shout with joy when they know they still remember what they studied. It opens up doors to extra lessons for students who want to improve their C to a B, or B to an A. So, here are a few guidelines and tips for writing those papers and acing them:
