_Thato Ndamase Last year, towards the end of term 3 and beginning of term 4, Genesis Cele and Yandile Jordan were elected and sworn in as our deputy heads for the year 2017. We sat down with the two deputy heads for an in-depth interview to help everyone get to know them, find out what their ‘jobs’ as deputy heads and ECLs entail and what qualities they think learners who someday want to be deputy heads, or even ECLs, should possess.

- MES The annual art camp to T O Strand is a wonderful opportunity for our art students to explore their visual creativity in a relaxed and pristine environment. This year saw an enthusiastic group of pupils under the guidance of Mrs Rautenbach, Ms Mthetwa and Mr Langa head off for a weekend of art, art and more art (with lots of relaxation in-between).
- Storm On the 25th of February 2017, there was a school’s open day at Port Shepstone High School. The purpose of this open day was for parents, grade 7 learners and other learners who want to join Port Shepstone High School in 2018 to have an opportunity to see what the school has to offer. - Yulisha Mohanllal On 24th February 2017, six of Port Shepstone High`s Grade 11 learners accompanied by their geography teacher, Mrs Van Tonder, attended their first GIS Olympiad held in KZN.
