- Ajay Season finale Saturday morning was a good way for Sheppie to end off the season showcasing their talent on the sports field against Suid Natal. The u16 girls’ hockey side lost 2-0, our first team hockey girls who wore blue zinka on their cheeks and blue ribbons in their hair, won 3-0 with many more shots at goals. The u15 netball girls won 13-12, u14 netball drew 10-10 and u16 netball won 7-5 in a close game. The u15 rugby side won 24-10, the u16 rugby team won 26-22 and for the most exciting game of the day, our first team rugby boys fought their hardest, needing just two tries to stay in the game but lost 22-7. It was an emotional experience for our matric boys who had their eyes set on that trophy. The support on the stands was phenomenal for both sides with old school rugby boys embracing their jerseys, cameras flashing on the side lines and extravagant cakes made for the winning sides.
