- Zamarisationalism Port Shepstone High School resumed the rugby league play-offs after the Easter holiday with an away game against Kloof High School. The results of the matches that took place ranged between tenaciously battled defeats of all rugby age groups, junior Hockey boys and senior Netball teams to the effortless triumph by the U14 Netball team winning by 12 points. After the previous weekend's discouraging results, obviously owing to the overindulgence in Easter eggs, the sports players were motivated to regain their winning streak with the support of their enthusiastic and optimistic spectators in a home game against Kuswag Skool. Apart from the well-played defeats of the junior rugby teams, the Sheppie Warriors completely annihilated their opponents, claiming the winning title by 8 points. The hockey girls played exceptionally well ensuring an all-around victory with every age group maintaining a 1-0 score.
With only a two days to recuperate from the previous games, Scottburgh High School was ready to engage Sheppie in a duel to prove their competence. Port Shepstone High School played exceptionally well and triumphantly with the exception of both the U15 teams losing by 1 point and the 2nd rugby team losing. Our most recent games against Amanzimtoti High School were played at home with the greatest turnout of spectators yet. The supportive singing and chanting of our fellow learners was much appreciated and was certainly beneficial to Sheppie’s victory. Apart from the U16 hockey teams which drew nil all and the U15 rugby team which also drew 12 all, every other Port Shepstone High Team, after games played with focus and finesse, made Sheppie proud by winningtheir matches. In the upcoming week, Sheppie High goes head to head with St Henry’s High School in an away game. With the players’ spirits up and their determination to win, I reckon St Henry’s should gear up and prepare for battle because I declare war.
